Filipe Ribeiro de Meneses

Filipe Ribeiro de Meneses (born in 1969 in Lisbon) is a Portuguese historian, living in Ireland since his young age. He is a professor in Maynooth University, whose historiographical production is predominantly centered around the contemporary history of Portugal.

He graduated and received his doctorate at Dublin Trinity College, respectively in 1992 and in 1997. His doctoral thesis dealt with the governments of the Sacred União and Sidónio Pais. In 2017 he was elected a member of the Royal Academy of Ireland. Provided by Wikipedia
